Well When I found out this concept could make it into production. I was curious and had some questions to ask VW. So I told them I was an automotive journalist and asked some questions. Here is what I found.

Engine/Transmission- 210-horsepower EA888 TSI engine (such as the one found in the Beetle R-Line) coupled with a 6-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission. (There are no current plans for a manual transmission).

Off road tested- Not currently as it is still a concept.

Suspension modifications- Raised by 50mm

Inspired by Baja bugs of the 60's and 70's-Yes, they said " This concept is a Baja Bug for the 21st century."

So a few more questions have been answered, but the one question we still don't know is Will it make production?

The only thing I want changed is the wheels shrunk by 3 inches in Diameter, and knobbier tires like some General Grabber AT2s.

With the big wheels there isn't much clearance. And knobbier tires would help.
